Root Canal Treatment (RCT) is a dental procedure designed to save a severely decayed or infected tooth. When the inner pulp of a tooth becomes infected due to deep decay, cracks, or trauma, it can cause pain and swelling. During the root canal procedure, the infected pulp is carefully removed, the inside of the tooth is cleaned and disinfected, and then sealed with a biocompatible material. Finally, a crown is placed over the treated tooth to restore its strength and appearance. RCT effectively eliminates pain, prevents tooth loss, and restores normal chewing function.
